Liberal Fascism

Jonah Goldberg has written the most informative book on politics that I have ever read. Liberal Fascism: The Secret History of the American Left from Mussolini to the Politics of Meaning has taught me more about why American liberals think as they do than anything I've ever seen. Tom Wolfe says of this book (quoted on the back cover), "In the greatest hoax of modern history, Russia's ruling 'socialist workers party,' the Communists, established themselves as the polar opposites of their two socialist clones, the National Socialist German Workers Party (quicknamed 'the Nazis') and Italy's Marxist-inspired Fascisti, by branding both as 'the fascists.' As a young boy I figured out that Communism and Fascism were absolutely not polar opposites as all textbooks and almost all teachers claimed. I pointed out that if Communism is the far left, then anarchy, or no government at all, is the far right, and NOT fascism, which is also the far left complete with socialism and state control of every facet of human life. Classical liberalism is the true conservatism of today. True conservatives believe in as little government as possible and in free enterprise. We believe that God gave us rights and the role of government is to help protect those God-given rights, which do not come from government. This is the first book I have seen that eloquently explains this hoax. Conservatives are repeatedly branded as fascists when the truth of the matter is our liberals are almost always fascists. Read the book, please, and enlighten yourself on these facts and on how this hoax continues and is carried out. Then you will never be fooled again, if you have been in the past.
I have a master's degree in political science and history and I was never taught much of the information in this book. Did you know that Woodrow Wilson was a true fascist and that he, from 1913 to 1921 imprisoned far more people who simply disagreed with him than did Mussolini in Italy during the 1920's? Wilson hated the US Constitution and wrote much about its perceived wrongs. Teddy Roosevelt was quite a fascist. Franklin Roosevelt was not really a fascist, but he was greatly admired by Mussolini for using the same tactics he had used in Italy. Read and learn how liberals today use communist tactics to brand conservatives as fascist while they adhere to fascism themselves.
The hope I have for America depends on our educating people, one at a time if necessary, so they will understand Constitutional government and also the hoaxes being used by liberal fascists today. I learned something from each paragraph in this book. I truly had a hard time putting it down, as did Tom Wolfe. We can stop the betrayal of conservative principles by elected Republicans if we can get them to understand the hoaxes they are falling for. We have right and truth on our side. Let's stand up for the principles used by the Founding Fathers to create the greatest nation in the history of this world. The Constitution is not a "living document" that can be changed at the whim of non-elected judges. It is a firm statement of solid principles of government that created this great nation and we can restore its greatness by stading firmly behind our Constitution. This book can help you understand the multicultural forces that are destroying our culture and way of life. Just as both Hitler and Mussolini hated Christianity, the liberal fascists in the US today also hate Christianity. Don't be fooled.
